KINGI® – Part of Tuusulan Peltikeskus’ Quality Selection

– We added the KINGI^® roofing screw to our selection because it is the only roofing screw genuinely approved for outdoor use. I wanted to try the screw myself before adding it to our selection, as I thought all of Kingi’s promises were just the talk of a good salesperson. But KINGI^® really is a good screw, which you certainly notice when you try it yourself. We have now distributed KINGI^® sample packs to customer companies so that they can test them themselves. One company already called us back right away to say that they want to start using Kingi, says unit manager Sami Eemola of Tuusulan Peltikeskus Oy.

Sami himself also has extensive experience working on roofs.
– I had a roof installation company for 10 years, so I gained plenty of experience with roofing screws. I sold the company last summer and moved to the other side of the counter, here at Tuusulan Peltikeskus. I feel that my own experience as a roofer and entrepreneur has also been useful to customers who are dealing with the same concerns and problems that I faced earlier, Sami says.

Of the features of the KINGI^® roofing screw, its ease of installation specifically appeals to the roofing industry veteran.
– Its drilling ability speeds up installation work, as all slipping and scratches are avoided. KINGI^® is somewhat more expensive than many roofing screws, but I have always believed that good and cheap do not belong in the same sentence. KINGI^® raises the price of a roofing package somewhat, but it does pay for itself, as it does not scratch and drills faster, Sami sums up.

Kingi brings surprising financial benefits in cost control and in the amount of capital tied up in inventory.
– Previously, the installation company’s van had to contain both sharp-pointed and drill-pointed roofing screws in all colours. For example, drill-pointed screws cannot be used in a wooden substrate because they easily strip, so sharp-pointed screws were needed. In places where there is more than one sheet of metal on top of each other, the sharp point does not drill through, so drill-pointed screws were needed instead. KINGI^® replaces both. Now the van needs no other roofing screws than KINGI^® in all colours. It is much easier when you do not have to keep so many types of screws in stock, and it also reduces the value of the entrepreneur’s inventory, Sami says.
