Quality is not a promise – it is a system
We do not compromise on Kingin quality at any stage of production. All of Kingi Oy’s operations and production are carried out in accordance with the certified ISO 9001:2015 quality management system. We monitor quality on three levels: at our own factory in Nurmijärvi, by auditing subcontractors and inspecting the components and semi-finished products they supply, and through tests conducted by independent research institutes.
ISO 9001:2015 – documented quality from one production batch to the next
The entire manufacturing chain of KINGI® roofing screws is ISO 9001:2015 certified. In practice, this means that every production batch undergoes a thorough quality assurance process carried out in accordance with the SFS-EN ISO 3269 and SFS-EN ISO 10666:1999 standards.
A certified quality system is not just a piece of paper. It means documented processes, measurable tolerances and designated persons responsible at every stage. Every screw arriving at the construction site has met these requirements – before it has been packaged.
In-house quality control
8 procedures in every production batch.
Quality control does not stop at a single inspection point. In KINGI®’s production process, every batch goes through the following eight procedures:
- Material inspection
- Inspection of the screw dimensions at two different production stages
- Testing of drilling time at two different stages
- Inspection of torsional strength at two different stages
- Testing and assessment of the risk of hydrogen embrittlement
- Measurement of the thickness of the electroplating and paint
- Paint adhesion testing
- Inspection of the screw’s compatibility with the KINGI® installation chuck
Two-stage testing at most points is not a coincidence: it ensures that any deviations are identified during the process – not afterwards. This minimises defective and non-conforming products.
Traceability and independent oversight
20-year archiving and independent testing.
We store screws from every painting batch by batch number for at least 20 years for possible follow-up inspections. If questions about quality arise years later, the answer can be found in our warehouse, not just in the documents. Every screw can be traced all the way back to the screw’s material certificate through the manufacture of the screw blank and the painting production.
In addition to our own strict quality control, the quality of the coating system is monitored through corrosion tests conducted by an independent research institute. An independent party ensures that our own processes remain under control over the long term as well.

30 years – a guarantee of tightness
50 years – guarantee of rustproofness
Warranty periods are possible only because we know what we are doing and can demonstrate it with documents.
