KINGI® warranty

1. Keep the purchase receipt for the duration of the warranty. The warranty period begins on the date of purchase of the screw, provided that the screw was purchased from Kingi Oy or an authorised reseller and that it has been used under normal climatic conditions. The warranty is valid only in Finland.

2. The warranty is not valid if the screw has been used under particularly harsh and corrosive climatic conditions, such as in locations where the screw is in prolonged contact with water, chemicals, ash, cement, dust, soot, algae or manure.

3. The validity of the warranty requires that the screw has been installed in accordance with the instructions. For example, damaging the paint during installation or over-compressing the seal will void the warranty.

4. The warranty is not valid if the defect is primarily due to the following reasons:
   a. installation or maintenance contrary to the instructions or these warranty terms
   b. exceptionally high moisture in the materials under/behind the installed profile or inadequate ventilation in relation to the conditions
   c. natural disaster, environmental catastrophe or exceptionally high concentration of pollutants, radiation, fire or other comparable exceptional circumstance
   d. external mechanical stress, such as damage caused, for example, when removing snow
   e. a chemical reaction between the screw and another building material (for example, plaster mortar)
   f. transportation, storage, handling at the construction site

5. The buyer must monitor the condition of the screw and maintain it in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. If scratches, cuts or abrasions appear on the paint surface of the screw that penetrate the screw’s protective surface layer, the screw must always be replaced with an undamaged one.

6. Warranty claims must be submitted without delay once the defect has been detected and no later than the expiry of the warranty period to Kingi Oy. In order for the manufacturer to initiate an investigation of the matter, the written claim must state the name, address and telephone number of the person invoking the warranty, include the purchase receipt and describe the nature of the defect, how it manifests itself and when the defect was detected.

7. Kingi Oy reserves the right to inspect the damaged screw on site and to remedy the deficiencies detected at its discretion, either by touch-up painting or by replacing the damaged screw with another screw or reimbursing the buyer for the damaged screw. The warranty obligations are in all respects limited to the price of the products supplied. Under no circumstances does the warranty cover any indirect or consequential losses or damages that the defect in the screw may have caused. Replacing the screw with another, repairing it or renewing the finish does not extend the original warranty period.

8. This warranty is an additional benefit granted by the seller and does not affect the protection to which the consumer is legally entitled. These warranty terms are governed by Finnish law. The validity of the warranty requires that the buyer has fulfilled all their obligations to the seller and importer of the screw. This warranty replaces all other possible warranties to the extent defined in this document, regardless of whether the other warranties have been given directly or indirectly (for example, warranties granted by agents, resellers or any party other than Kingi Oy).
