Kingi replacement screws

Kingi® vaihtoruuvi® is a 3-layer-coated (C4) renovation screw intended to replace old screws and nails, and is thicker than a regular roofing screw. It has an extra-large washer with an EPDM seal, which seals the area around the old hole in the sheet metal. The replacement screw is not intended for initial fastening, but for replacing an old screw or nail in the existing hole when the battens are still in good condition.

Tuotekuvaus

Kingi® replacement screws are designed to replace old roofing screws and nails when a sheet metal roof needs to be renovated quickly, affordably and for a long service life. They are particularly suitable for situations where the roof sheets and battens are still in good condition, but the original fasteners have rusted, loosened or risen.

Kingi® replacement screw® is thicker than a regular roofing screw and has greater tensile strength, allowing it to grip tightly into old battens and provide the sheet metal with a new, secure fastening. The screw has a 3-layer coating that improves corrosion resistance (C4) and ensures a long service life in Finland’s varying weather conditions.

The replacement screw’s larger-than-usual washer with an EPDM seal covers the hole made by the old screw or nail and prevents water from entering the structures. This makes the Kingi® replacement screw® an easy way to seal and renovate an old sheet metal roof without replacing the entire roof.

The main benefits of Kingi® replacement screws

  • The thicker screw body ensures the best grip in old battens
  • 3-layer coating provides C4 corrosion protection for the atmospheric corrosion category (ETA-25/0267)
  • The large washer with EPDM seal seals the old fastening hole
  • An easy and affordable way to extend the roof’s service life
  • Suitable for detached houses, cottages, hall buildings and other sheet metal roofs
  •  Warranties: 20 years against rusting, 30 years against leakage and 50 years against perforation corrosion

Kingi® replacement screws are the right choice when you want to carry out a cost-effective roof renovation and ensure a new, long-term and watertight fastening for the roof without replacing the sheets.

Declaration of Performance (DoP) A Declaration of Performance (DoP) is a document required by the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR 305/2011), demonstrating the product’s performance level with regard to its essential characteristics. The DoP for our roofing screws is based on European Technical Assessment ETA-25/0267, which is based on the assessment document EAD 330046-02-0602 prepared for roofing screws (published on 19 December 2025). The new EAD introduces an assessment of the corrosion resistance of roofing screws, ensuring the product’s documented corrosion classification in accordance with European standards. Thanks to the DoP, the builder, designer and client can rely on the product meeting the requirements set for it, as documented.
